Columbia Sportswear sees growth in holiday shopping sales

(MENAFN) EO Tim Boyle told CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Friday that Columbia Sportswear’s robust fourth-quarter revenue was buoyed by shoppers making holiday shopping earlier in previous years.

The outdoor apparel maker’s holdings rose 5% after Columbia Sportswear reported a 64% increase in year-over-year net profit in the fourth quarter and posted strong full-year leadership.

Boyle said: “In the current environment where there was so much of an impact on the supply chain, shortages really all over the world, I think we’ve been helped a bit because consumers have moved earlier. to buy everything they needed for their holiday and winter products”, adding “this was due to the lack of promotional activity in our stores and also through our business partners. Their promotions were also more small.
